I bought a Traktor Kontrol mk2 s4

I bought the Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk2 from guitar center. I didn't knowthat I need a serial number product to register the used gear dj controller. The problem I'm having right now that not able connect to the software Traktor pro 4 and virtual dj and other dj software to the computer. The good new that the Dj controller does work and light flash in 2 sec, and yet no power to the dj controller. I need help on the siutuation. I've already send out a message to native insturment company to get some tech help.

What do you mean with "connect the software to the computer"?

Do you get an error? Or do you not know where to download it?

I would ask native of they can transfer the license to you. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014498698-How-to-contact-NI-Support

Then you can install native access and from there install traktor. You can even start now with the demo.

Contacting NI support was right. As @lord-carlos already stated they may can transfer a Traktor Pro licence belonging to this device. But as it is a Mk2 this will most likely a licence for Traktor Pro 2 or 3.

Even without a licence you can install Traktor Pro 4 demo to test everything. This also installs necessary drivers on Windows. The drivers are also available on NI site as free downloads: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/

S4 Mk2 itself doesn't need a licence to work if you want to use it with third party software like Virtual DJ or Mixxx or another existing licence of Traktor.
