If I set the Cubase project sample rate to anything other than 44.1kHz, when I play back reference tracks loaded into Ozone's Referencing Panel they play back at the wrong speed on subsequent loads of the project (i.e. when the reference track is first loaded into Ozone it plays correctly but closing and re-opening that Cubase project causes it to play at the wrong speed).
I have tried Ozone 9 and 12 with Cubase 14 and 15 and the problem occurs in all combinations.
To reproduce the problem:
- create a Cubase 15 project with a sample rate of 48kHz (bitrate=24)
- add Ozone 9 or 12 to the stereo out insert rack
- load a 48kHz reference file into Ozone (I have tried sample rates of 44.1 and 48 - they both cause the problem)
- play it. It should play back at the correct pitch and speed.
- now close the Cubase project and re-open it
- the reference file now plays back slightly faster and at a higher pitch. It sounds like and 44.1 file playing at 48.
Anyone else feeling my pain?
