Why is Traktor Pro behind? Why not streaming Apple Music?

I'm a Mac user and Traktor pro user from the beginning of Traktor Pro. But now i come to the point asking myself, why o why is Traktor Pro getting behind the rest? For so long a period? It is such cool and good sofware. But now i'm considering making the step to Recordbox/Serato or Djay Pro.

Because they have Beatport and Beatsource?

Maybe in a later stage they will add more streaming services? (i don't know)

But i can imagine that license costs to integrate with those streaming services are expensive

Since the Traktor Dj2 dev team was laid off Traktor needed to recover the “invested/wasted” time to upgrade Traktor Pro and add new features (and hardware to keep interest alive). Lately Traktor Play as entry point for noobs and avoid subscription model which is counterproductive for the stablished fanbase and a selling point against competition for noobs.

Also Traktor was historically more focused on electronic genres so these streaming platforms @Remcol34 pointed out make more sense than spotify which is better suited for open format djs but probably it’s a matter of time these become support due Traktor Play itself.

For my needs and way of djing Djay Pro is far superior (also because I purchased an Hercules Inpulse T7 premium for Xmas) but since these streaming services didn’t allow stem analysis by license I think about getting an D2 and Nuo-Stems to convert my library as third deck.

Traktor is behind and forward at the same time. It’s retrofuturistic…
