Hey folks, I've started using the Arranger / Song view to sequence my Scenes, and I like doing it "live" ie: while playing back the song so I can get a sense of the flow.
I've noticed two different behaviours and I can't seem to figure out why one behaviour occurs or the other - I'm hoping someone from the community can help and that it's not some weird bug.
So: enter Arranger view and assign a Scene to the timeline, then start playback from the beginning.
Next: while playing and BEFORE the playhead gets to the end of the scene, right-click on the "+" scene header and assign another scene.
Behaviour 1: The playhead skips forward to the next scene. It doesn't skip to the start of the scene; it seems to skip to the same relative position in the pattern, but now within the new scene
Behaviour 2: The playhead DOESN'T skip forward at all, but just continues playing and when it gets to the next scene it just continues going.
Behvaiour 2 is the desired behaviour. I had that working all afternoon on my first song; now I've switched to my second song and started arranging it in the same way but I'm getting Behviour 1.
I could ask AI, but man I'm getting sick of being gaslit by AI responses, so thought I'd ask real human beings!
