Maschine plus encoder, touchtrip leds problem.

Hello, today I received my Maschine plus refurbished, looks great, feels like new but I'm having a problem with the 4d encoder and touchstrip leds.

Those leds are giving me a headache, I can't even look at the 4-D encoder/touch strip for more than 2 seconds, is there a way to turn off those leds?

You can go to Settings > Hardware and turn the brightness down, but you can't turn it off completely.

If you're reckless I guess you could grab a black Sharpie and carefuly paint the led dots 😂 The top of the piece of plastic that guides the light up.

Maybe with something that can be removed with alcohol, in case you ever sell it? Pretty extreme thing to do tho…

yeah that's way too much work for a couple of leds haha.. I'll just turn off the touchstrip and put 4 little adesives on top of the encoder leds, thanks for the answer tho!

I have astigmatism, so those leds are really bothering the hell out of my vision.

by the way is it normal for the wifi to be so slow? I have about 400 mbps with my MacBook wifi and right now I'm downloading some expansions with the Maschine+ and its going at about 5 mb per second.. is that normal?

Yes the wifi is slow. You'd be better off buying a USB LAN adapter i.e. tp-link UE300
