Am I able to record a pre-loaded midi drum pattern?

Hello,

I was using Butch Vig drums and wanted to capture some of the pre-loaded drum patterns by recording them into a track. But when I press R to record and then start a pattern playing, it won't capture the pattern.

Is this because they are demo patterns only? Shouldn't I be able to record the patterns into a track to compose with them?

Just put the Kontakt 8 plugin on the track , if not already open then open the Kontakt 8 plugin and drag and drop the desired patters onto the DAW track.

If you want to record yourself playing the patterns then put Kontakt 8 on the track and use a Midi controller to play…
