Native Access cannot reconnect existing Kontakt installation after macOS Sonoma reinstall
Hello,
I’m stuck in a loop with Native Access and Kontakt after a macOS Sonoma reinstall and I can’t find a proper solution.
Context:
- macOS Sonoma 14.8.3 (clean reinstall)
- Native Access 3.22.0
- Pro Tools freshly reinstalled
- Kontakt and all Native Instruments libraries are already installed on an external APFS SSD
- Everything was working perfectly before the OS reinstall
Current issue:
- “All of your products are up to date”
Updates tab is empty
Products incompatible with your system are not shown - Kontakt does NOT appear as installed or available
- No “Repair” or “Locate” option is offered
- Pro Tools cannot load Kontakt anymore
- I do NOT want to reinstall all plugins and libraries (they are already present and very large)
Important:
- The files are physically present on the SSD
- Disk permissions are correct
- Native Access has Full Disk Access
- This is NOT a download issue
- This is NOT a version compatibility issue (Native Access is up to date)
Question:
How can I force Native Access to:
- re-scan existing Kontakt installations
- reconnect / relink plugins and libraries after an OS reinstall
- rebuild its internal database without reinstalling everything?
At the moment, Native Access seems unable to recognize existing installations after a macOS reinstall, which makes large NI setups extremely fragile.
Any official workaround or supported procedure would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
