is it possible to unistall the factory library from maschine+

im trying to clean my machine+ up and speed up browsing time by removing files i dont need. i only require drum hits and synth presets i have no use for instruments, projects and loops. i have had success deleting all of the stuff i dont need from expansions but i cant figure out how to remove the factory library.

any help appreciated

AFAIK, you cannot.

It's installed in the internal storage, which we cannot access. Easy to verify by removing the SD and noticing the sounds load just fine.
If you go to Settings > Library > Show Installed - Select the MAS 2 Lib the uninstall button will be disabled.

You could always favourite the sounds you do need or like (which is what I do) and just skip the Projects, Instruments and Loops like everybody else does if they don't want to use them.

having all of the bloat content installed really slows down the browsing experience. try deleting all of the stuff you dont need and see how quickly it speeds up. i have untagged all of my sounds using komplete kontrol and now use them in a folder structure under the user tab, it has sped up browsing x10. my maschine+ is much more friendly to use now. the only exception is the factory library which i cant uninstall or remove tags

Fair enough! I did think after posting that my post wasn't helpful, so apologies for that.

I can navigate my M+ fairly quickly with my own User content, just my knowing my sample packs very well from collecting them for years and knowing what kinda stuff i'm looking for, but it could be a lot quicker, ie 'Shift' working when scrolling through my own sample packs too, like it does with NI content. I like having 100s of thousands of sounds though as i've eclectic tastes so need large and diverse sound palettes so I have more freedom (works both ways).

There are kit instrument sounds undiscoverable in the synths that made them, so I have to load a kit sometimes to get a sound I love. Well, I could probably look into saving that instrument patch, but NI could create better pathways even for those of us that suffer the browsing system at times.

Any improvements then would be welcome, but I have a similar browsing experience with my own content on all my devices and it's the reason i've given up on Elektron devices and Polyend Play, because the file systems are designed for people that work with small well curated user packs and like the limitations that provides.
