Keyboard sale for long time customers who already have a multitude of Kontakt Instruments?

Dear NI…. how about a keyboard only sale for those of us who have been loyal customers and have more Kontakt Instruments than we could ever use already?

Besides a Roli Seaboard, I have an aging KK A49 and I'd really like to upgrade to the S Series MkIII. There are sales with Komplete bundled, but I don't need more instruments. Why not offer loyal customers the option to upgrade their keys? It would keep me loyal and not looking toward other vendors like SoundPaint. It would be a win-win for NI.

Ni has killer hardware sales all the time - but never have I seen one that considers your existing product inventory.

Off the top of my head - it would be a nightmare to calculate or even arrive at a price point.

Especially if I have 3x the amount of instruments that you have. Where does one draw the line? And lets not forget third party products - which are limitless really.

And let's be honest - if you can afford to own 20-30-40 Kontakt libraries - getting a MKIII shouldn't be a stretch.

I've never seen a hardware sale on the S Series MkIII.

I need to spend my money wisely, on a fixed retirement budget.

If you are looking for a general discount of the base price of keyboards then if it happens then from what I have seen then it is usually not very often that it happens. As you have noticed then N.I. usually throws in some extras with the keyboards instead.

However then N.I. pricing policy also allows third party dealers such as e.g. German Thomann to sell the S49MK3 € 60 cheaper and the S61MK3 as much as € 150 cheaper , so that's also a way of saving money if you want. Even the M32 will sell more than € 20 cheaper.

The real reason is probably a lot more simple and logical - there is no need for a sale.

If you were a company with an "in demand" product - why sell it for less? I know I wouldn't.

It's like Spectrasonics with Omnisphere - this product has never - ever - been on sale since day one of it's existence.

depending on location, eBay can be good , in the uk they run promos 10/20% off on some stores

I found a used one in pristine condition for a good price , £ 300ish (49)

I wouldn't buy hardware direct from NI. Shipping and import tax are the main killers but then if you have an issue, having to ship back and pay for that cost then wait months for a return, rather deal with a local store where they handle warranty concerns direct, and that would be impossible to offer the same "loyalty" discount.
