Traktor S5, change function of crossfader in Traktor Pro FOR MAC

Hi all,

In my Traktor S4 MK2 I use an override mapping function for the the crossfader, in orde to use this as a CUE MIX knob (screenshot 1). This works perfectly for me. Is this possible to make this work in my S5 as well, since an override mapping will not work in the S5 mapping?

In the Controller Editor it is possible to change the channel number (screenshot 2), but I am not familiar with that? Or perhaps a custom QML file can do the tric?

According to @User: "Sûlherokhh" Sûlherokhh this can be done by changing the Mixer.QML file, but in Mac this is a file Zipped in the Traktor App and despite I am the owner of the app file, I still don't have the rights to change this file:

Update:

Maybe this is just a problem of Xcode, changes from plain text editors are accepted. I'll test this change this evening and will share my result with you.

I've been using notepad++ for decades. Not sure if there is a MAC version. Or maybe that is Xcode, hehe. :)

Ar least with admin privileges I can change files inside the Traktor application bundle. But macOS prompts me for my fingerprint or user password - even with an admin account. As I edit files outside of the bundle and exchange them when finished this occurs in Finder for me.

Other apps may don‘t ask for elevation of permissions. Try to copy the file outside of the bundle, edit it there and move the edited copy back. And don‘t forget to keep a backup of the original version.

As an editor on macOS I usually use BBEdit without paid extensions. You can get it via Mac AppStore.

Editing with the standard app 'text editor' did work, so this problem is solved. Thanks for your replies!
