Does Absynth 6 come with Complete Collectors Edition 15? I just bought it, and it seems it is not included, as it was before for 20 years in the budles. Let me know… Thanks, Renderic Studios
The answer would be… No.
Absynth 6 has just been released, whereas Komplete 15 was released last year. All those Komplete boundles usually only contain what was released up to before they came out.
If the release cadence holds true, then the next year's Komplete 16 will very likely contain Absynth 6.
As already explained earlier in the thread (several times) the new version of Absynth is not part of Komplete 15 because Komplete 15 was released BEFORE Absynth 6.
It will no doubt be included in Komplete 16 when that arrives, but as has always been the case, any products released after Komplete, do not get added to it as they come out.
Hi @Monochrome, Thanks for your reply Do you work for Native? Because I just bought the Komplete 15 Collectors Edition from their website. It's either complete or it is not. It has Absynth 5. But I owned this from Komplete 14 already. Wondering what else is not updated or shipped with 15. Meh…
As Monochrome said, the Komplete bundles only contain software released BEFORE the bundling, not after. Komplete 15 released over a year ago. Absynth 6 released two weeks ago.
@renderic
Do you work for Native?
No, but… once you have been around for a longer period of time, then you get to know how certain things work 😅 Absynth 5, for instance, was discontinued in 2022 - much to the dismay of many. NI eventually realized their mistake and worked on a new version of it: Absynth 6 was born.
All the Komplete bundles will never be "complete" in that sense because new products are getting released constantly.
Wondering what else is not updated or shipped with 15.
That I dont know for sure… but I think this helpful spreadsheet could offer more insight:
I think Komplete needs to be renamed inKomplete. As a Komplete 15 Collector's Edition I think it is a bit of an inusult to try and charge another £89 for an update! It even has the cheek to say
What else would I need to have bought to get any more discount? It's the same price for the update as you'd get before you log in!
The good news is if you shop around you can legitimately get the update cheaper than you can direct
Pigments 7 is a free update to me. Well done to Arturia
I've been a Native Instruments owner since about 2000 and Komplete owner for almost that long. What I have had to determine after many years of being frustrated after purchasing a new release for it to then be included in the next version of Komplete is that it really comes down to whether you want to wait for it. The frustration comes of course from the fact that I have effectively paid for the new item twice. New versions of Komplete have been released on roughly a two year cycle (typically in the Sept/Oct timeframe). So my approach has ended up being this. If something new comes out within months after I have upgraded to the latest Komplete and it is something I really would like to have and can use, then I break down and purchase it, i.e., I choose to not wait 2 years to get it. Beyond some point, I just simply wait till the next Komplete release. Some companies give you a price break for items you have already purchased that end up being in the next "collection" upgrade and I have begged for NI to consider doing that. But they somehow prefer the discrete lock step method.
