How to use User Samples in Vocal Colors

I updated Vocal Colors (VC) and am unable to drag-n-drop my own samples into the instrument. I have followed the video and the manual until I get to the drag sample part with no success.

From the manual "5. Drag and drop the audio file containing your user sample from the file system into the waveform display. PCM audio files in both WAV and AIFF format are supported." Nothing happens when I do this. Both Kontakt 7 and Kontakt Player 8 fail at this step. I uninstalled both and reinstalled them with no success. The manual say that this works in the versions that I have.

I saw that a couple people got this to work using Komplete Kontrol - I've never used this so I'm lost with this method as well. I also don't use a NI controler.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should be more specific than OSX when listing your OS.

Did you give ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon and DAW full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

And if using Sequoia/Tahoe then N.I. apps and DAW must be added to the Local Network (Ref.: How to grant audio apps access to your local network on mac OS 15 Sequoia)

I have just tried to do the same with Vocal Colors in Kontakt 8 and at first it did not work for me either but I held the sample over the sample window for a bit before dropping it in and that worked - just seems a bit finicky

I'm having the same problem after one of the latest updates, I also tried to hold the sample for a couple seconds over the sample windows before dropping, but it doesn't work. I'm pretty sure some weeks ago the sample import worked fine. I'm using Kontakt 8.

Ok if you are on Mac have you given Kontakt (and the host if it is the plugin version) full disk access?

If you are dropping into an existing patch it must be one with a loop loaded that shows the sample window - the one shot patches don't
