FIXED: Traktor play with DDJ-FLX4 and DDJ-FLX2 not available in native access.

Hi,
i got an email from alphatetha saying that i can connect a FLX4 to native access app and download traktor play for free.

Thing is nothing happens in native access app (i also own a S2 MK3)
Under "Not installed" it only shows Kontakt 6 & 7, Reaktor and Traktor DJ 2

Edit: i checked my NA version an it says 1.14.1 (R156) Maybe is that? I never updated NA. it's just uninstall and reinstall? do i have to enter the serials again?

Hey everyone:

If you own Traktor Pro 4, the license for Traktor Play will not be triggered as the TP4 license takes over (as it has more features). You can use TP4 with these controllers.

There was an issue where it wouldn't be triggered if you owned an older version of Traktor (2, Scratch Duo, TP3). Issue is now fixed, please relaunch Native Access, you should get your Traktor Play.

As explained by PK the DJ then you will not get the right Native Access response if you are not using a version of Native Access that has the response builtin. (Ref. : https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/traktor/dj-software/traktor-play/controller-redeem/ ) And since that pop-up response from NA that is needed were only added very recently then only the very latest version of Native Access for your OS has that response builtin…

Thank you @PK The DJ i will just install existing version on my system and install updated one. i googled a bit and seems there's no need to re-register products or re enter serial numbers.

You got a full version of Traktor with your S2 presumably, so there should be no need to use the cut down Play version. I'd imagine if Play supports the FLX then Pro should too, as one is just a limited version of the other.

It could be because you have already had the device attached using the wrong version of NA. But since we have no information on that then you should contact N.I. Support (all) and ask them for help.

@PK The DJ as far as i know you need to map the flx4 manually or use a custom map with traktor pro. So when i got this mail saying i could use the flx4 natively with traktor play for free it made sense to me to try it.

If what you are referring to is Traktor 4 Pro vs Traktor 4 Play then I am sure that Traktor 4 Pro will also be updated since it is as PK writes , the Play version is just a lesser version of the Pro version. Since the Play version was specifically designed to be able to be used by the third party controllers that it comes with then the Play version might have had the mapping features first…

Did this work for you?! The redeem instructions are not very complicated. You just plug in the controller. Nothing happens for me, and I have the latest NA installed as well.

Same thing … everything updated, latest DDJ firmware, newest Native Access, but NO pop-up to activate Traktor Play. Also, IMPOSSIBLE to generate and submit a support ticket via the Support Chatbot, completely useless!!!

Since functionality or lack of same could be a browser issue then also try another browser with no extensions and all cookies accepted (my suggestions for alternative browsers would be e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldibrowser and Opera browser , depending on what you do not usually use)

The suggested browsers are what I expect will work if having never been installed before on the computer and then used as is with no extensions and all cookies accepted.

Try to uninstall Traktor Pro first. Or simplyimportthe mapping from Documents → TraktorPlay → Defaultmappings intoyour Traktor Pro version.
