User wavetable?

Hello everybody, bravo this huge update for this legendary synth! I used Abysnth since the v3…. My question; is it possible to load user in source or wave editor like the other versions? I don’t found where is the import or load .gly is… as before. I.ve the excellent Architecture waveforms bundle bought long time ago. Best 😎

It looks like the ability to use the template files in the Absynth libraries is not available yet in Absynth 6. I am hopeful this will be added soon as the library files are being installed for Absynth 6 but the load/save dialogues and template browsers are missing. Can't even load or save effect presets at the moment.

This has always been a useful feature to be able to save and import templates for oscs, envelopes and even channels in previous versions, I am sure Brian would not have forgotten this and it makes no sense that they are being installed if it isn't intended for them to be used in future (I have the Architecture libraries myself and this was one of the first things I looked for when I got Absynth 6).

Take a look at the Source Modules section here.

The source modules can be inserted at the top of the channels A–C in the Patch page. The source modules are the only sound sources in Absynth. All other modules only modify the sounds produced by the source modules.

The source modules can use different types of synthesis, which are grouped into three categories:

Oscillators are based on monocyclic waveforms played repeatedly to create a musical tone. The following types of Oscillators are available: Single Oscillator, Double Oscillator, FM Oscillator, Ringmod Oscillator, Fractalize Oscillator, and Sync Granular Oscillator.

Samplers can play an audio recording in various ways. The following types of Samplers are available: Sample Engine and Granular Engine.

The Audio Input module does not generate any audio by itself but instead receives external audio and pass it on to the next modules.

I tried making a patch from scratch in Absynth 5 using only the Architecture waveforms and it loaded correctly in Absynth 6 so the good news is those waveforms are saved with the patch (unlike user samples). So that's a way to get those waveforms into Absynth 6 until NI provide a proper way to do it (if you have Absynth 5 but anyone who has those Libraries should have an earlier version of Absynth)

Thanks guys for your fast response, hope Brian and the team will add and fix that.. ‘cause it’s wonderful to use architecture wavefrols for build new sound design in absynth (and goo old original massive iy’s works too) with this feature. Seeya. Best
