Help with Maschine+ Serial Already Registered — Ticket #4738081]
.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to provide an update on my situation with my second-hand Maschine+ I purchased and also ask for any advice or guidance.
I bought a Maschine+ second-hand on Facebook Marketplace. Unfortunately, the previous owner has refused to provide Native Instruments with a license transfer ID, so I am effectively stuck with a premium Maschine MK3 with very limited standalone capabilities. I have no way of contacting the original owner to offer to even purchase the transfer ID directly.
Here’s what I have done so far:
As it stands, without registering the Maschine+, I cannot:
I can still use the Maschine+ as a controller with Maschine 2 software I already own and can pay to upgrade to maschine 3 software, but this limits the standalone features that were a major reason I purchased the maschine plus in the first place.
I’ve read other posts on the community where NI support has sometimes provided a new serial number or license transfer ID to new owners after proof of purchase. I’ve provided everything they requested, but due to the previous owner blocking the transfer, it seems there’s nothing further NI can do.
At this point, I’m feeling stuck with a Maschine+ that I cannot fully utilize. I’m reaching out here to ask:
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help, advice, or suggestions would mean a lot as I try to figure out how to move forward with my Maschine+.
Warm regards, David

@Jeremy_NI ,
I initially merged this with existing thread but have decided to allow it with another headline for user to get advice on the situation from you and others.
@Shadow_Fox ,
Initially I merged this with your other thread(s) because you made it an issue with respect to the [Ticket #] .
On second thought then I do however recognize your need to get advice on how to handle/get on with the situation in general.
However I think that I have to advice you that if NI have already elevated an issue to a Support 'specialist' , in this case to 'Pedro_NI' , and that the specialist makes a decision then in general then what NI Support decides is how it is since NI Support are in charge and they have made their decision for a reason.
@Shadow_Fox Let's see what can be done. This is a really complicated topic. From what I understand you bought this from people who bought it at some kind of auction and they didn't check the provenance, we don't really know if this was stolen or ceased or why the previous owner refuses to let the serials go. My colleagues should get back to you anyway.
