Will Kontrol X1 mk2 still be supported in newer versions of MacOS

Question

I just bought a second hand Traktor Kontrol X1 mk1 and it is not being recognised by Traktor. I am using a newer version of MacOS (Sequioa 15.7.2) and I saw the latest driver for Kontrol X1 mk1 only goes up to MacOS 10.11.

I will have to try resell Traktor Kontrol X1 mk1 and am considering buying a Traktor Kontrol X1 mk2, but want to make sure I do not run into the same issue now or down the road.

You can use the mk1 version with the program from @Opa from here

The mk2 version is a HID interface and if I understand it correct does not need a driver. I would suspect it will still work for a long time on mac. But maybe someone else has better insights.

First: @Opa here in the community made a little software tool which is making X1 Mk1 work with Traktor on modern macOS again.

Second: X1 Mk1 required special drivers. These aren‘t available for current macOS versions. X1 Mk2 doesn‘t require those. It is class compliant. It works with drivers supplied by macOS itself.
