Absynth 6: Requirements for the Update Price?

Dear friends, I'm excited about your new Absynth 6. I own Absynth 5 and Kontakt 5, a lot of other stuff from NI- will I get the update price of 99 Euro? When I wanted to buy Absynth 6, the bill shows a price of 199 Euro. What are the requirements for updating Absynth 6 for the reduced update Price? Thank you very much for your kind answers.

To qualify for the update price you need to own a version of Absynth or have any version of Absynth included in a bundle. That means Absynth 1 to 5 and Komplete bundles from 3 to 13. Komplete 14 and 15 did not include Absynth so they don't qualify.

The Komplete Classics bundle also qualifies, it was not at start but just has been added. FYI @naten1 @TheValueOfN @Krock78 You should try again.

If you are not seeing an "Update" price in the shop - maybe you are not logged in - while browsing?

And if you are logged in - check to make sure in your Products listing - that Absynth is actaully listed under Registered Products.

If you do not see it listed - you have either never registered the license (by installing it) or you are logged into the NI Shop with a different account than the one that contains your old Absynth 5 license.

Im seeing the same behavior. Im signed in to my account and im not getting the update price. I do remember, however, that I originally got absynth through a bundle that was on pluginbotique, so maybe that has something to do with it? I did run it before.

Hi, same here…purchased years ago the "Komplete classic bundle" from PB and i can't upgrade to Absynth 6…that's weird because in fact i have a valid license that is not listed on my account…(like the other products in the bundle). Maybe someone from NI can give an explanation…

That would be a question for NI sales. Not sure if bundles bought elsewhere qualify.

Some folks are seeing “full” price even though they have access to a prior Absynth license.

When I bought my copy this morning - I automatically got the “Update” price which was $129.00 CDN for me.

Case 1: You purchased Absynth 5 (or a NI bundle) under a different account/email.

Case 2: Sometimes you need to click "Buy now" and "Add to cart" first, before the reduced price appeared.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a screenshot of my serial number (that's on 5's 'about' page) ready to share with support when they reply to the ticket I've just made. I also have the email from pluginboutique that contains proof of purchase of the Komplete Classics Bundle from them.

If we're to be denied the update price, that'd be egregious in my opinion, (especially as I have bought Komplete 15 Collectors Edition).

@Eckhard I quickly checked your account (the one attached to the same email you're using for the forum) and you only have Izotope products so maybe you have another account, attached to another email address, where you have this Absynth 5 licence?
