Boy this was disappointing,
I guess it's my fault for not catching it. I assumed that when purchasing the update I would get the new Ozone 12 which came out in September. But since both are owned by the same company. You get a brand new out of date software. No grandfathering in after 12 was released.
That is with one exception only in Japan I guess they all got vouchers for Ozone 12 it after was released and you purchased Komplete probably better consumer protection. Any other company selling another software product after it released a new version would be grandfathered in or updated the package that contained it, but look what you can do when you own both companies.
I did get a 25$ voucher which I was going to use on an instrument, Tried to buy Circular but I can't or any other instrument because it's on sale ?
"The voucher code 'NICRPTGRD' is not applicable for your current order. Please review the terms and conditions for this" saved 75$ I guess. These experiences really soured me on the whole "megabrand" of NI. Here's a Voucher you can use but not on any instrument until Jan 2026.
Also this weekend they sent me a Special coupon code for discount on Izotope Bundle (also owned by NI) I tried to use it within minutes of receiving the email only to get rejected on it saying coupon was expired. Waste of time. I hope they don't buy any more companies and I can't afford upgrades anymore.🤑
