The latest updates on NA

Most of these are "old school" Reaktor instruments that have been brought up to modern standards for use with the latest versions of Native Access and (I assume) for a better experience with Komplete Kontrol (either now - or in the future) as well.

I updated all mine in about 2 minutes yesterday and tested everything in Komplete Kontrol. All working normally.

I am thinking all users who have installed any Reaktor based instruments should benefit from these. There is no point to bypassing them that I can see.

I was curious too when they first started appearing, but then I used Google. 🤐

I have done the same PK. Thank you for your reply. However, the Google result that I got didn't really tell me much as to why loads of 2mb+ files need to be DL'd & updated . . . . .

"A .nicnt file is a data file associated with Native Instruments' Kontakt, which contains registration keys to authorize and manage Kontakt libraries. It is not an instrument file itself but is necessary for libraries to appear in the Kontakt "Libraries" tab. You can add a .nicnt file-based library by opening the library's folder in Native Access and following the instructions."

I'm still unsure as to why I need to update unless I am purchasing all the new NI releases & updates (which I am not at the moment)? I would just like some clarity as to what exactly I am gaining by downloading these latest updates. Thank you 😎

The NICNT file is the authored file for Kontakt, Reaktor and others - they include all the things needed to install from Native Access into your Service Center folder, database and images.

There is another reason it's being updated, but I can't go into that just yet, but it's a good thing this is happening. Update and be merry.

I would just like to know if these updates are worth the DL for the average user who is not investing loads (any more) into the NI world, or if we will have lots of issues because we haven't "invested" into all the latest NI products? Thank you 😎

The Google results were enough for me re the NICNT files (related to Kontakt libraries). There's no conspiracy 😄.

Not intended to be Spy Vs Spy stuff. I also could be wrong, but I also cannot say. A) in case I'm wrong, but B) because NDAs.

I absolutely did answer the question on what an NICNT file is though, just not why it's being updated for lots of products.

And yes, Liverpool and Salah are going through a bad patch. 3rd worst shot conversion with second highest total shot, combined with third highest coceeded goals from the fifth lowest shots faced.

Mo is just having a blip - he'll be back to his best when he returns from ACON.

Given your clear resistance to these updates - even in the light of what appears to be a very welcome (potential NDA-busting) set of clues and the fact that everyone who had responded - have said they are good to go - suggest you save yourself the agony and not install them.
