Yesterday I bought Noire VST and tried to play it using my Yamaha-NP 30 connected in MIDI trough a Volt1 soundcard.
The problem is that when I play with my keyboard it sounds very bad, notes are very low and flat, and with zero expression regardless how I press the keys.
When I click on the virtual keyboard on the Kontakt interface sound is clearly not the same.
I tried to max out the velocity in Kontakt from 0 to 127 but it changed nothing.
I tought that my keyboard was too old and not enough dynamic (like not enough velocity range) for the complexity of Noire, because it seems that it's playing like I play every note very low, event if I smash my hand on the notes.
But when I look at the manual of my keyboard I got those data for the range: 9nH,v=1-127
So it should be capable to express the required range. And I remember years ago, a friend had lent me some VST on a hardrive, with The Giant and Alicia Keys, and I had no problem with the same keyboard. But at the time it was another computer and soundcard.
When I play for example FL Keys VST in FL Studio, no problem sounds correctly.
But with noire, playing directly from Kontakt, or using Kontakt in Fl Studio does not work.
Any ideas ?
