Can you use the Traktor Kontrol MX2 to trigger your samplers via the pads

I am just wondering how to setup the Kontrol MX2 to trigger my radio Idents via the pads as I do with the S4 MK3 or other Traktor harwares.

I have watched all the reviews including the one from Native Instrument and none talks or show you how to do this. Google says you have to do a mapping which they also warn is complex. So does it mean you can use samplers with MX2?

Can someone throw more light into this for me before I order one.

Do you mean if it's possible to control a remix deck with the mx2?

That is correct Lord-carlos. I think that explains why no one in all the reviews has brought this up as a low down regarding this controller. Sometime you have to question whether the designers do their home work properly before designing a controller. Yes we know everyone is now screaming about stems. But there are several dance genres that the dancers do not like the use of stems but are used to sampler drops for decades. Even the cheapest mini controlers like the DJ2GO2 touch, hercules do have this option. Why not just have it there for those who want to use it. Its in all other Native Instrument controllers but the MX2 does not have it. Strange.

Someone can adapt the S2MK3 code used for padMode.samples to the MX2. It should not be difficult to create a very simple and straightforward qml mod to enable the already existing modules and assign it to, for example, SHIFT + PadModeButton(Stems).

Out of the box, there is not sample trigger code implemented.

Is MX2 overmapping a thing jet?

Remix Decks are a bug fest currently and probably the reason why it isn't implemented by default mapping. They need to fix Remix Decks first.

Overmapping seems to be planned for, i don't know, probably some christian holiday like christmas or easter. It's not there yet.

I think the developers of Traktor believe that the BUGs will disappear on their own if you stop feeding them.😄
