Upgrade From Select to Standard Before Registering Hardware – Possible?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK3 from Thomann, which comes with Komplete Select, and I have a quick question about the upgrade path.

Right now, Native Instruments offers the “Komplete 15 Standard – Upgrade from Komplete Select” for around $99 with loyalty pricing.
Is it possible to buy this upgrade before the keyboard arrives and before I redeem the Komplete Select voucher?
Once the keyboard arrives, I’ll register it and activate Select in my NI account. I’m just trying to lock in the upgrade price now, if that’s allowed.

Has anyone here done this, or can confirm whether the upgrade will still activate once Select is registered?

So please help me understand why the bundle (S61 + Komplete standard) is more expensive ($1099) than buying them separately ($849+$99) on native-instruments.com?

Please discern between Full version , Update and Upgrade , what you need is not an Update it is an Upgrade , Upgrade price is € 249.50 from K. 15 Select , please check the prices on the page : Compare Komplete 15 bundles .

You can see the difference at the compare prices section of the compare page But update is from same product tier to same tier of newer version and upgrade is from a lower product tier to a higher product tier of same or newer generation.

You can buy the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK3 directly from Thomann bundled with the Komplete 15 Standard Upgrade , it's 936 EUJR from where I sit. : https://www.thomann.de/intl/native_instruments_kontrol_s61_mk3_komplete_15.htm

So I have hard time understanding why you need to break it up into more purchases (?)

And then buy the Upgrade from NI after having registered the Komplete 15 Select else then the shop will most likely not let you buy the Upgrade (€ 250 on the sale) but only the full version which at the sale is € 50 more I think (€ 300 on the sale) .

P.S.

Please also notice that the Komplete Select that you get from registering the keyboard is a voucher for the product via email so that you can go Select your preferred version of Select. Also please notice that mostly then it do not matter what Select 15 that you choose if going to Upgrade to Komplete 15 Standard anyway since all the content from the bundles except one thing is already in K15 Standard , so Select K15 Select Band since that also comes with iZotope Nectar 4 Elements which is not in S15 Standard !
