No connection between Maschine Plus and Windows-Computer

Hi,

I can no longer connect my Maschine Plus with my Windows-Computer in standalone mode.

Previously, I could load a project into Maschine Plus and could view and edit it simultaneously on computer and Maschine. I don't know what happend. Now the Maschine 2 Software doesn't talk with Maschine Plus.

Maybe someone of you has an idea.

I don't know how you were able to do what you're saying in standalone mode because this has never been possible, or at least intended to be possible. Are you sure you weren't running the plus in controller mode while running maschine software on desktop?

Hi Nyla,

it was possible, i'm sure. I've got even a training video, where they show how they work with both desktop software and maschine plus. E.g. they name the scene, what they did create in plus.

The term "standalone" is confusing here. M+ has a standalone function that doesn't use a computer. Maschine has a standalone function where you're not running it as a VST in some other software. There's never been any link between maschine running standalone while controlling M+ running standalone.

So are you saying you can't use M+ as a controller for the software?

sorry if I'm using wrong terms.

My M+ is connected with the computer. I did start a project on M+. I could work on M+. And on my computer did run the software M2. There I could see, what i did on M+ and i could also work and edit the project.

Now I don't know why there is no connection between computer and M+. So if you have an idea, what's the problem, I would appreciate your help.

I think you are messing up things a little bit.

Yes, you can see/edit what you did on M+ in Maschine software on computer, but only after “exporting” the project to the computer and opening it in Maschine software, not “simultaneously” as you said.

That said, let’s go directly to your issue.

If what you are telling us is that Maschine+ hardware is not been seen by the computer (and therefore you can’t use it to control Maschine software in controller mode) I would check in task manager if NIHardwareAgent is running (and also if the M+ drivers are installed in your computer). Check this article:

If the M+ IS working as controller for Maschine software BUT your issue is that the projects exported from M+ to computer are not being opened in Maschine 2 software… what version of Maschine is running on your M+? If you are running Maschine 3 there, Maschine 2 on computer cannot open its projects (backwards compatibility of project is not possible in Maschine)
