Set up: I have the Maschine Plus connected to Mac Studio via USB, and have a Novation midi keyboard connected to Mac via USB. I use Logic Pro as my DAW, and UA twin x quad as audio interface.
In terms of my workflow, I usually load up Maschine 3 as a pluggin in Logic, that way the clock is synced with Logic, and make my beats on Maschine plus (editing on Maschine 3).
Ordinarily i would export the audio and bring them into logic as WAV / MP3s.
But sometimes it can be hard to align the groove when exporting like that, if youre logic stuff is off the beat a bit and whatever.
What i am trying to do is record the beat that i hear on Maschine track into logic.
I thought that would be as simple as running lines out of Maschine into Audio Interface, but all i got was a loud hum. i figured that is because whilst in DAW mode its not sending an audio signal out of sends? is this right?
I was hoping to simply press record on the audio track (left and right into two separate line in tracks), but i got nothing.
in fact, i dont even get the midi data when i play the pads.
I know i have explained this pretty poorly, but in short, is there a way to record the audio loops made in maschine plus (maschine 3) into logic, straight from the maschine plus?
