I was using Traktor Pro demo for a while, and enjoyed the features and didn't mind the 30 minute time out. At least I could prep my library and practice a bit. It gets the beat grids wrong an awful lot, which is pretty sad considering the songs are fixed tempo electronic 4 on the floor. That should be a no-brainer.
I just bought Traktor Play, thinking it was a new version. It's basically a paid demo of Traktor Pro, with no beat grid edit functionality. I have a banner at the top asking me to upgrade, and when I click on buttons it keeps asking me to upgrade. Really guys? How is this serving the customer?
I just dropped $50 for something unusable. Beat grid edit is not a feature! It's core functionality. I feel like I got hoodwinked into a forced upgrade. I also had a coupon to get Pro for $125, and now to upgrade, the total price will be $150.
