How can I repair the assistant?

The Izotope assistant crashes across the entire suite (Neutron, Nectar, Ozone, etc.).

An error window appears:
"Files missing...
Some files required by Balance Assistant could not be found.
Please reinstall in order to use this feature."
I have reinstalled the entire suite, but the problem persists.

This error message is usually caused by a corrupted configuration file for our interplugin communication feature. To get back up and running, please try a clean install of Neutron 5 using the steps below.

1.) Uninstall

Close all applications and your DAW.
Right-click the Windows Start Button and select Installed Apps (or Apps & Features).
Find Neutron 5, click the 3 dots on the right, and select Uninstall.
Repeat this for iZotope Relay.

2.) Clear Lingering Files (Important) Once uninstalled, please check the following paths and delete the specific folders listed below to remove the corrupted settings.

Note: Some of these folders are hidden. In File Explorer, click View > Show > Hidden items to see them.

Delete these specific folders if they still exist:

Documents (Config Files): C: \ Users \ [Your Username] \ Documents \ iZotope \ Neutron 5 (Also delete the "Visual Mixer" folder here if seen) (Tip: back up this folder if you have custom presets you want to save)
Preferences: C: \ Users \ [Your Username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ iZotope \ Neutron 5
Program Data: C: \ ProgramData \ iZotope \ Neutron 5
VST3 Plugins: C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3 \ iZotope \ Neutron 5.vst3 (also delete the Relay and visual mixer vst 3 files here if they still exist.

3.) Reinstall Once those folders are cleared, please reinstall Neutron 5 and Relay using the direct installation links below:

Note: Upon reinstallation please make sure if you have any antivirus software installed that it is temporarily turned off to make sure no components are blocked.
