Registering a used S88 purchased from Amazon

I purchased an "Amazon Renewed" S88 MK3 from Amazon, When I tried to register it, I discovered that the serial number had already been registered. Do I need to return it. I don't need the free software that comes with the S88 as I already own a Komplete Standard license and various instruments. Do I need to return the S88 to Amazon? One of the keyboard lights is non-functioning which is yet another reason to send it back. I submitted my Amazon sales receipt and a photo of the serial number to Support, but they have not yet gotten back to me.

if there’s a hardware fault I’d return it unless you’re happy with it going away for repair for an unknown length of time. I’m not sure what the NI warranty stance is on secondhand gear bought from Amazon, maybe @Cliona_NI can help here?

I am rather sure that there will be no problem clearing up the matter about the serial since you have bought the keyboard from Amazon themselves and have a receipt.

The only problem is with respect to the defective keyboard lights and if you want to have to deal with that….
