I'm getting incorrect or slightly off BPM values for decks 1-4 on my Denon x1850 mixer. Serato and VDJ are able to send the accurate BPM to the mixer channel via HID protocol…. any chance Traktor can add this?
I can't imagine it would be anytime time soon. Because, if had to guess, this would be handled by sysex messages, which only serato has full knowledge of. Whilst VDJ can communicate with the mixer they do this by reverse engineering these 'serato to hardware' sysex messages
Was hoping that these companies (NI and Denon) would share the info for this? I'm surprised Denon doesn't offer this info to keep their products compatible and useful
originally, nearly all hardware would/should have a midi implementation chart that would describe how to write and use sysex strings, but in the recent dj market that doesn't seem to be thing anymore. Moreover Traktor doesn't have the infrastructure to deal with midi sysex. You can try to reverse engineer it and make a script but that itself is highly technical
If I understood it right, Traktor already sends sysex to some older Pioneer DJM mixers to unlock the DVS function. Pioneer ding dongs locked that down :( Very sad.
But Native and Pioneer probably worked together on that.
