How do I use my two Kontrol S2 MKIIs at the same time on one laptop?

See title: we only need the outs from one unit, is it even possible? How would browsing work? Pros/cons vs. running two macbooks? Are there mappings even? It's for a B2B (or side by side..) gig.

The idea is to run deck A+B on one unit and C+D on the other, we only need outputs from the "main" unit.

I do not have the knowledge to answer your question.. But i could think of just do some mapping in the settings (if traktor recognises 2 midi controllers)

I would use 2 macbooks with a simple cross fader unit between them.. S2 1 = Left, S2 2 = Right.

Yep, two MacBooks would be more straightforward, plus you have a backup should you have a failure on one of the systems. As long as the sound system has two sets of inputs that's what I'd go for.

If you want to use a single Laptop:

Just setting one as the audio device is the easy part. But traktor only supports one CUE. So you would still need to share a headphone.

And for mapping C/D, maybe if you put the device into midi mode and download a C/D mapping it might work.

But mate, just b2b like everyone else and just share a single controller on a single laptop. It will remove much complexity. Play 3 tracks, then switch.
