Linking Stems lie NUO-Stems

Hello Community, Hello Devs,

i am using Traktor S4MK3 and i love the possebility to seperate my Stems and apply additional FX to this Stems.

I am missing a "Generate All Stems Function", which can run overnight. @TraktorDevs? You are planning on this?

So i tried the Software from DJ Nuo, NUO-Stems 3.1 and i am amazed by the better Quality this has.

Now sadly Nuo Stems can generate Stems which i can properly play in Traktor but i can not link my Original Track to the Stem but rather have 2 seperate File (one Stems, one Original).

So for me as a developer myself i do not understand how it could be so complicated to allow a developer to Link the original Track to its Stem-File. Like Traktor already does with this 3 Lines here. So i can always chose to play Stem or Original.

Also since Stemseperation is quite slow on my Hardware (no GPU) i was considering running Virtual Machine in Azure, connect to it, install Nuo-Stems and try to process the Files with CloudGPU, did anyone try this so far?

So my questions are:

@Devs any File linking on the Roadmap? If not pls add this. Looks like this is a low hanging Fruit.
@Community anyone tried to do stemseperation in cloud?

I have an additional Question, how are you supposed to export your Playlist including Stems?
It seams like if I import my lib on a different PC (where my Stems are not created) they are also not present, which renders the possebility of exporting you playlist useless in regards of the stems? Or did i jut miss the correct export mechanism?

This is exactly why I gave up on Traktor software. I went through the same thing, I’m pretty much done with Traktor software, just waiting to sell off my Traktor gears.

Unfortunately, I have bad news. According to the recent Q&A, they won’t be implementing batch stems. And based on Traktor’s track record, it’s very unlikely that the Nuo-stems will ever get that feature.

If you have few thousand songs good luck converting them one by one, and also pray for Traktor not gonna crash.

Real time stems? they are "Looking into that", We can expect that in next century if we are lucky.

As mentioned in the Q&A, it sounds like the ability to link to 3rd party created stems might be coming soon.

Personally, I prefer just having the stems from Nuostems in Traktor, and not importing the original files to Traktor.

To be fair, he didn't say exactly how far into the future it might be coming and soon in NI terms is always relative. 🤣
