Volume problem

Hello, after the last update of Traktor Pro 4, I have some issue with my Traktor S3…. I’m the only one in this situation?

Volume control is manual only; software has no reaction when you use the volume control and volume LEDs don’t reflect changes.Tried other USB-C ports on my MacBook Air M3(with the last OS).Tried a full reset but nothing changes. Testes with a Windows PC but the problems remain.
The volume itself works, but the LEDs indicating level and the display state don’t react when adjusting individual controls on my S3(2 months old)

When you connect S2/S3/S4 and select their audio interfaces for output, this is normal. Monitor Mix/Volume and Master Volume knobs are hardware controlling audio interface directly, which is why the software knobs are greyed out. You can still use the Master Volume in Traktor GUI with the correct settings in Preferences→Mixer.

Either way, the HW knobs do not control the software parameters. This is on purpose.

Okay, but before the update, the Clip LEDs below the master knob indicated the actual volume level, which they no longer do. Is there a way to reactivate them?

Strange. Have you tried turning the dials (HW+SW) for your main out to max? What's your Traktor version number?

On a side note. What happens when you use the audio interface as your OS audio output without starting Traktor (playing a video or audio file with a software player)? Does it still not show activity?

Yes, I’ve already tested everything, but nothing changes.

If I play videos or anything else without opening Traktor, the audio outputs normally and I can raise and lower the volume, but the LEDs are, of course, off.

the traktro version is the last one avis le on the NI portal….

Sounds like a hardware problem. You may have to send the unit in for repairs if you want the LED to work again. Try updating the S3 driver (if there is one) and/or firmware first.

Edit: It could also be an OS problem. The very latest macOS usually causes problems. A lot of users recommend using the next to last version until Apple fixes it's most glaring bugs and NI adapts to a well established platform.

The LEDs work, but raising or lowering the master doesn’t change their state — they only respond to the gain or fader of channels A, B, C, and D but not to the master

Yeah, that is how most mixers work.
Now you can see if you are clipping or not, no matter how loud or low to volume is.

My s4 worked different, it was volume dependent. Lowkey annoyed by it. I have no idea why yours switched behavior.

Now i get it. In fact, with the master volume completely down, there should be no blue or orange bars shown whatsoever.

Ha. :) I would prefer it as well to show the master LED regardless of Master Volume knob position, much like channel LEDs are pre-fader output.

Clipping indicator (red bar at the top of the range) works regardless. If i have the master knob on my s4 completely down, but faders, gain and software master gain pushed over the wall without a limiter, the red clipping bars are the only thing showing.

before the last update, everything was working fine and only after the update I have this situation. The clips are important to understand on which level you are.
How can I contact native instrument to understand if they have some solution to fix it?
