Activate FM8

Hello. I would like to use FM8 on Windows 8.1. Is the latest version suitable, or do I need to use an earlier version, 1.4.1 for example? Once I've purchased the plugin, how do I activate it? When I click the activate button, Service Center starts and tells me that an internet connection check is taking place, but nothing happens! Thank you for your help.

service center does not work anymore, you could try this here but i´m not sure if it will work with windows 8.1 at all native access 1 might be retired:

then you need windows 10, or maybe, if you contact support it might be possible to activate it with that offline activation but I highly doubt it, maybe worth a try anyway.

FM8 works just fine in the latest Native Access. Windows 8.1 is long since retired and is unsupported for years.

You need to consider Windows 10 (via ESU) or Windows 11

And Native Access v1 is now essentially retired as well

But NI should make possible even for older OSes, either make Native Access run under at least Win7 and later versions of Win, or allow offline activation for older versions of Win.

It is NI´s task to make activation possible for all OS versions for which was given SW supported in past. NI cannot force its customers to upgrade to higher OS versions. It may not be possible because of many reasons like e.g. need to run legacy SW or better suited OS version for processing audio. Win11 is the worst Win version for realtime tasks like audio in past few decades….
