I just recently (and finally) have upgraded my setup to include a Kontrol S88 Mk3.
I am using my setup for music production as well as live performance.
The idea is that I use the S88 as a live keyboard – controlled by Komplete Kontrol – providing the melody and chords, while Maschine 3.4 provides pre-produced loops, rhythm, beat, and synth patterns and the like, controlled by the Maschine Mk3.
And yet, as soon as I start up Maschine 3.4, it “hijacks” the controls of the S88 Mk3. I can still play the sounds selected in KK, but I now basically have the same sets of controls for the currently active Maschine sound on both the Maschine Mk3 and the Kontrol S88 Mk3, which defeats the purpose.
Does that mean I will have to send back the S88 Mk3 and revert to my “old” S61 Mk2, where this setup worked like a charm?
