No power TRAKTOR S4 controller

So I hade the common issue with usb port breaking and it needed to be replaced. I replaced port and thought I did a decent job, now it dont even power up. Even if I didnt do a good job soldering wouldn't it still power up at least?? or does it need usb signal to power up???

Have you tried connecting any other peripherals that are bus powered? (like see if it will charge your phone)... That would be the tell-tale sign that your repair needs some attention...
