I just bought Kontakt 8 because some of my libraries no longer worked with 7. I did not download Kontakt 8 Player, I downloaded the full version from Native Access. I can open it stand alone, but when I try and open it as a vst it opens as Player. I see Kontakt 8 in the VST3 file folder Ableton points to for these. What is going on?
On a side note, the chat bot when you ask for support through Access is THE most frustrating and useless tool going. It gave me 4 options to choose from, none of which remotely applied to my question, and no matter what I typed in, I kept getting the same 4 options to choose from.
