Pedal Noise

I’ve installed an M-Audio sustain pedal to my keyboard (Komplete Kontrol MKII). On several piano apps, such as The Maverick and Grandeur, I get an unwanted noise when I press down the pedal.
Could this be due to the pedal’s quality? Should I get a different one?
Anyone else experienced the same issue?

Have you looked at turning off the noises? For Maverick you can find the details on page 10 of the manual here - https://www.native-instruments.com/fileadmin/ni_media/downloads/manuals/THE_MAVERICK_Manual_English.pdf
