Kontrol s61 mk3 Update Fail, Stuck in Update Mode. Cant Reset Device

I received a Kontrol S61 MK3 today. I tried to update it and had everything connected correctly. After more then two hours I assumed it was stuck in update mode. According to the NI website, I should power it off and try again.

Now the display only shows:
“Looks like something went wrong, please re-run the update on your computer.”

However, nothing happens when I run the updater (as administrator). The keyboard also doesn’t respond to the 5× power cycle procedure — it always just shows the same update error message.

I can’t update or reset the device anymore.
What should I do now?

This issue is common.

First, always update from a PC/Mac that has bo other USB devices plugged, only your S Series.

So try like that, first.

If doesn’t work, i will give you a workaround but i need to be in front of mine to remember (i had this issue last year, since i keep an old laptop with my NI app to update my S61 mk3)
