MK1 secondhand license anyone?

I just bought the Maschine Mikro 1 from Goodwill for $20 but need to find a license since the MK 1 software is no longer sold. I sent a request to NI to release the serial number and waiting to hear back. Any ideas on how to get a MK 1 license ya'll?

Just as an FYI - MK1 will work with both Maschine 1 and Maschine 2 software so you can use either if you can get hold of a licence. Unfortunately I can't help with the licence, sorry.

No worries @ mykejb, thank you for your response. Yeah, unfortunately I have to get Maschine 1 software first to get Maschine 2 software work. I understand why NI stopped doing tech support for MK1 but why not sell the necessary software to get the hardware started? AI said there is a free player that i can use for limited functionality if all else fails.
