Kontakt 8, Leap, and Expansion Icons

Hi, after the latest Kontakt 8 update, when I open a Leap and then browse Loop or One Shot, unlike before, I don't see the icons for some libraries, only the name. And I don't see almost all the icons for expansions, only the name. Why? Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

As of Kontakt 8.70 - this is the new Side Panel view - which uses new NKS2 graphic elements.

For any libraries that appear as text - these do not support NKS2 at present. Your choices are - make your own NKS2 sized panels (easy to do actually), wait for your vendors to update their graphics payloads to support NKS2 or revert to Kontakt 8.61 - where the older UI elements are still being used.

Thanks. I didn't understand much but even the expansion icons have almost all disappeared when I open loop or one shot within leap while they are visible without problems on the kontakt panel.

Yep - seeing that here too:

1 - New Expansions with the required elements

2 - Old Expansions - missing the required elements

Since all Expansions are NI exclusive product - they will need to address these old Expansions via internal updates at some point in the future.

Or - as I noted - make you own graphic panels.

Yes - Kontakt 8.61 should return you to the old graphics layout.

Instructions for creating these panels are not "official" and are most certainly not supported either

But I can tell you to look for this - the new libraries use a resource file called:

NKS2_hardware_banner.webp

You will need to locate the folder location of these files on your machine - suss out the length and width of these files and then cobble together a graphic of your choosing that matches the length and width exactly.

Then copy your new resource file out to the NI image folder that is missing the graphic and restart Kontakt 8.

Click on it and download the version that is appropriate for your OS.

Thanks for reinstalling version 8.6 do I need to uninstall 8.7 from Native Access? or some other way?
