Does anyone know where or how to get spare parts for the Komplete Kontrol A61 keyboard? one of the 8 knobs is broken apart…
Alas then N.I. do not sell spare parts and N.I. do not have appointed parts dealers either (I have suggested this myself). Also there is no repair schematics publicly available. (I can not exclude the possibility of N.I. having select spare parts that they would share in rare cases but if they do then I have no knowledge of it.)
For now then the only options is to get the keyboard repaired by N.I. (if not under warranty then price quote from N.I.Support (all)) (maybe too costly if not under warranty) , get another defective keyboard and use it for parts , or see if one can locate a similar or working part among the many existing common components sold in the world by electronics components sellers. Depending on your exact device and model then sometimes there are internet sites that sells select working parts for some N.I. devices but to me it looks as if only rarely.

thx…. already thought so … will try to get a broken device … NI should at least provide specs for such items…
I believe it's a 6mm D shaft. FYI the knobs from my Novation keyboard fit the shafts on my Maschine+ and my M32 keyboard. Check the length of your shaft (ahem) and be aware of the touch sensitivity.
Who in their right mind will send a keyboard in for repair just to have a replacement encoder knob fitted, especially the budget A series keyboard.
Pretty sure if you email NI direct for a knob they can supply these. They don't supply things like screens or internal parts but external user replaceable parts I am sure they can supply, will just likely cost a stupidly high amount. If they don't supply at all that speaks volumes on their customer care for these things.
At .. Michael : Any luck getting replacement knobs ?? I have the same problem myself.. bizarre N.I. cant just send replacement when for years we pay for all our hardware then upgrade constantly to new hardware & software then add ons plugins on and on but an issue with a simple 2 dollar knob leaves a bad taste in the mouth.. Any luck did u get sorted .. let me know mate, cheers . bob
As stated earlier, you can just use a generic knob. They're pretty cheap (less than a dollar even) and readily available. OK they may not exactly match the design, but if you change all of them, they will match each other.
Touch sensitivity? Well the knobs still work to change parameters even without that, and a quick experiment here on my M32 shows that it still picks up my touch if I make contact with the knob & keyboard simultaneously.
PK the DJ .. u r a legend THANKS!… I appreciate hearing it from someone who has tried it.. I will give it a go
the DJ stores here in Australia did not care 2 help ..said u need specific pots & just wanted me to drop off the machine and they would sort it & of course charge silly money 4 a $2 fix.
