B2B session on my Z1 & X1 setup last night:
Friend has Traktor 3, exports playlist of streaming IDs into .nml.
I import it into my Traktor 4 at venue.
Grid is off slightly on all songs in his playlist when imported to TP4, analyze does not fix the grid on his songs.
Sync is no good, we beatmatch by ear, good show, go home.
Next day I play around and notice this:
When I analyze his playlist, it just goes through the songs and estimates how long it would take but doesn't actually analyze them. Hitting analyze again will actually analyze the songs and fix the grid.
Using "Parallel processing" will both estimate & analyze the tracks at once but I didn't do that as I was already playing when I imported his playlist.
So two things:
- Exporting from Traktor 3 to Traktor 4 has an offset in the grid - songs need to be re-analyzed.
- Analyze doesn't fix the grid on the first pass without Parallel processing.
