K2 xone tsi midi mapping assigned volume adjust being triggered by other faders.

hiya. I am having a nightmare with getting k2 xone working. I have a tsi midi map file and the majority of it is brilliantly set up. However the volume adjusts on deck b is triggering off colume on deck C & D. i hav echecked the assignments and to see if they are dupplicated and they are not. I would really appreciate all the help in troubleshooting this and explain to me step by step all the ways in which i can fix this. Is it currupt? I want to use 3 layers and use as a stand alone mixer with eq. then loops and hot cues and all the functions on traktor. Im not using an external mixer. just a soundcard on the night and my laptop and one controller that does all. the k2.

Which layer type are you using?

0 = no layer

1 = bottom 4x4 matrix has three layers

2 = top 4x4 matrix has three layers

3 = both 4x4 matrices have three layers (all buttons)

4 = everything has three layers (all buttons and all knobs and encoders)

im not entirely sure but i think i want 3 layers red, amber and green. so i may switch between a functioning mixer for 4 decks with eq. then looping and fx and hot cues. and switch between layers to control the whole of traktpo for decks / tracks playing. I have the tsi i. just uploaded where you can see the lay out . so that should be able to tell you about the layerrs. currently im about to midi map the whol bloomin thing myself fromn scratch but am also open to just fixing the issue of the three volum adjusts which are moving at the same time using only deck b. deck a works on its own. if i try to use deck c and d volume then they dont work at all independantly. and as you can see in the picture im uploading, there are all assigned to the correct independant chanels.

i wish there was just an up to date, no issue no currupt tsi midi map where some amazing geek has mapped it in the same way as the one i have uploaded here and for it to just work becasue tryin to midi map this in a night mare. if you know of \any similar tsis midi maps, please send

I am using channel 15, layer 1 (bottom 4x4 matrix switches layers) with my K2.

Result: The mapping works exactly as intended. I remember using it many years ago. I don't like it, but it works. I have no trouble with the faders for the 4 channels.

Note: Make sure sure you are using layer 1 option (only bottom matrix switches layers). Make sure you only have a single mapping active for your K2 (check the device dropdown list for duplicates and delete them).

If you want to expand the mapping, you may be better served by starting a new mapping from scratch and adding functionality step by step. This makes it a lot easier, you won't have as much trouble keeping the overview and it helps learning how to map.

If the faders keep having malfunctions, there may be a hardware problem or dirt in the slits.

Test each fader by adding a functional assignment (like gain adjust or something) and then press the LEARN button. If you then move any control element, you can see what MIDI value will be triggered. This way you can see the MIDI values of every fader. If a fader triggers multiple values, this may be an indicator of this sort of problem.

NOTE: It's made for layer 4 (all buttons, all knobs, all faders), just like you are using i assume. And i must say now i remember why i don't like it. The functions are all over the place and not really intuitive (except for the one who originally made it). ^^

AGAIN: The mapping is totally working for me, as far as i was testing, including the faders.

Edit: I recommend not using the layers. It's confusing to say the least. If you want more controls for Traktor, you should get an additional controller so you don't have to switch around. It's an unnecessary headache that will mix up your muscle memory and lead to mistakes. Trust me, i've been there. Keep your head clear for what is really important when mixing.

IF you only have the single K2 available as a controller, consider using only two decks instead of four.

Make a new mapping from scratch. Use 2 knob/fader lines for mixer controls (A+B) and the other two for FX units 1 and 2. Use the bottom left 8 buttons for Deck A/Channel 1 control elements (like hotcues, cue monitor etc. and the bottom right 8 buttons for Deck B/Channel 1.

You can use the layer 1 function that flips the bottom matrix for additional buttons, but leave the top section alone so you will always have direct access to mixer and FX controls.

And use the LEARN function to get the correct MIDI/CC values for your assignments. The value spread among the controls is unintuitive unless you are used to MIDI keyboad designations and actual notes.
