10+ Audio IN for Maschine PLUS

Hello! I am a happy owner of a Maschine Plus. I need to increase the number of audio inputs on my device. I know that this can be done by connecting a Komplete Audio 6 MK2 audio card to the Maschine PLUS. But I want to look for similar cards with a much larger number of audio inputs. Can you tell me what this function is called (connecting via USB to the Machine Plus for track-by-track processing of each audio channel?) So that I can be sure that I will order the right audio card online that will connect without problems. Thank you.

There is a big thread HERE covering interfaces that work with the Plus. Basically it needs to be class compliant.

By the way, your post really should be in the Maschine area rather than synths. A mod will move it. 😁

I read that thread and just realized that the Behringer X32 is suitable for crazy money. But I need a compact device (like a regular audio card, not a desktop console) with a large number of inputs (10+)

It is written everywhere:

All I need to understand is what kind of class is this? What is it called? So that I can explain to the seller what I need.

Class compliant means that it will work without requiring a driver, because a device such as Maschine Plus cannot use drivers intended for Mac or Windows.

I would suggest to call the sound device an "audio interface" rather than a "card" (because a card fits inside a computer).

If you buy from a professional retailer, they will know what is class compliant.

Please note the maximum amount of audio inputs the Maschine Plus can access is 8 mono (4 stereo).

I don't think this has ever been increased via an update. [EDIT] apparently it has been increased.

strange, I read on reddit that someone there connected a behringer (I don't know which one) to 16 inputs. strange. In general, it's better to check before buying. Thanks

Just checking on my Maschine Plus and it does show 16 ins and outs, even with no external interface connected. Whether they're all available to be used at once, I don't know.

I found THIS so it seems to be possible now.
