Unsupported/Corrupt file issue with 16bit 44.1kHz aiff

This issue is occurring on my secondary computer. I imported the collection via right-click on collection, import collection.

This only occurs with aiff files. This occurs whether loading from playlists or dragging and dropping from file explorer.

this issue does not occur with wavs or mp3s.

The files work fine in Rekordbox, Serato, and Algoriddim. They also play fine in windows media player and QuickTime.

The files work fine on Traktor Pro 4 on my main laptop.

the files work fine on Traktor Pro 3 on this laptop.

Checking consistency shows the files are located and analyzed.

Tge files came from multiple locations (Beatport and Bandcamp mainly).

tried re-installing Traktor. Also tried loading aiffs without importing the collection. Both had the same result.

I figured out the issue. Even with attachment handling turned off via group policy, windows still adds the stream to files (to identify them as coming from another computer). For some reason, this breaks traitor’s functionality to play aiff files.

Running a batch process to convert and overwrite the files removed the stream data and fixed the issue.

This is def an issue that should be looked into by NI, tho.
