I posted this on Reddit but there’s obviously no one with any intimate knowledge of the Maschine in the Maschine sub ;) So I thought I might wanna repeat my question here:
Is there any info on the retro engines (MPC60 and SP1200) and how they work?
I know that they operate ‘in tune’ with the tuning (for example, aliasing when pitching in 1200 mode). But are they actually circuit modelling the original machines or more like an FX chain (Bitcrusher, Filter etc) tied to and triggered by sampler parameters like tuning?
I am asking because there is no info about these modes in any of the Maschine 1.5 material still available (at least none that I could find), and I recently read the claim that they are indeed circuit modelled (which makes me wonder why NI never made that claim).
