Hi everyone,
Today, when I tried to open a project I’ve been working on for a while, Kontakt froze while trying to load Spitfire’s Piano. I started troubleshooting and have tried almost everything I could think of: clearing cache, clearing the registry as described in the guide, uninstalling and reinstalling Komplete Kontrol as well as Kontakt 7 and 8. Windows is fully updated, and I have the latest NVIDIA drivers.
The bottom line is that I’m stuck. Here’s the situation right now:
- I can load Kontakt 8 in Cubase and load an instrument, but when I close Kontakt, Cubase freezes. This happens regardless of whether I’ve loaded anything in Kontakt.
- Kontakt standalone works fine, including with my MKS3 keyboard.
- Komplete Kontrol does not work standalone; the app starts, but when I try to load something, it never finishes loading.
- I have also run a batch resave.
What really puzzles me is that everything was working fine when I shut down my setup yesterday.
My machine is an i9 with 64GB RAM, 2x M.2 drives, a GeForce 4060, an RME UCX II, and an MKS3 keyboard.
At this point, I’m out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
