control the sounds of maschine+ in different scenes from squarp hapax

Hi,

I want to use the maschine+ as a soundmodule, sequenced by a squarp hapax.

In scene 1 i load a kit and via the midi in menu i select drumkit and then i can control the different sound via the hapax in drummode (8 sounds at a time).

Th in scene 2 i load a single synth sound, which i assign to midi channel 1.

When i change (pushing on the maschine+) scene 1 to scene 2, the drumkit is muted.

I've tried different settings, but i can't find a workaround to avoid this.

Can someone help me ?

Something is off with your terminology, I think by "Scenes" you actually mean 'Groups' (?)

If so:

1 - Both Groups need to use an exclusive MIDI Channel, they cant both use Channel 1 and they also cant use general Focus Mode.

2 - "Drumkit" is not very appropriate because you cannot select a channel, change it to manual, change the source to the Hapax MIDI Port, pick the right Channel and adjust the Start Note, it will probably be C3 instead of the default C1 — This will make sure this Group is always receiving MIDI from the Hapax regardless of which Group is in Focus.

On the 2d Group, In the MIDI Input of the Pad that has your synth change SOUND>INPUT>MIDI to

Channel: A different Channel from the one you picked for the 1st Group, (Channel 2 for example)

Of course your Hapax has to be able to send MIDI to those two Channels simultaneously.
