Real instruments with Traktor

I own

Traktor S2
TR-909
TB-303
Mackie 1604 mixer
MS-101 mono synth

I had thought everything would work and mix into my Traktor S2 and found it has only one mic input.
My mixer is 5 channels INPUT of TR-909, 1 303 and 1 MS-101 2 channels out.
I thought this was a DJ setup and when I went to put my DJ hardware there was no audio inputs.

Can it be routed from another interface

Traktor only supports a single interface at a time. If you want more audio in, you also need to connect headphones and speakers to that other interface.

Or do some software shenanigans.

Most entry level dj controllers have no input besides mic in.

The s4 mk3 has a couple.

I am not sure how you want to have everything connected in the end. Is your goal just to connect your Mackie Mixer to your DJ setup? Or should your DJ mixer replace you Mackie Mixer too?

If you just need to connect your Mackie to Traktor and thats it you still have to upgrade but a Traktor Kontrol S3 will do the job. If all instruments should be connected on their own to Traktor you will need a S4 Mk3 like @lord-carlos already said.

Another idea could be to add a (second hand) Traktor Audio 6. You can use it as your only audio interface in Traktor and have three input channels that way. Main output and headphones have to be connected here. That way you still can control your decks with your S2. But keep in mind that main level and headphone controls won't work this way. And you still only have controls for two decks on your S2.

If you still have a set of inputs available on your Mackie another solution can be to connect your S2 to the Mackie mixer (as all instruments).

In general S2 is NIs entry level controller. It is not very capable in terms of connectivity. It is a fine piece of gear for basic mixing and a little bit more but if it gets more complex you grow out of it pretty quickly.

For setups with DJ gear, real instruments and/or synths/samplers etc. you are quickly at a point where you will need some sophisticated mixer like a A&H Xone:96, Pioneer DJM-V10 or Play Differently Model 1. They feature many inputs (at least for DJ mixers). But this gets pretty expensive pretty quick. As you don't just need the mixer you also need deck controllers etc.
