What do you think of Scan content at start-up K.K.Software

I would like to save my original sounds such as Massive X and check them on K.K.Software, but it is always in scanning mode, so I cannot immediately check the saved state.
I think that every time I start K.K.Software, the Factory Library is also scanned.
I think we need a "Scan Factory content at start-up" button, but what do you think?

The scan you see when KK starts up isn't actually the library scan, it is a plugin scan that happens every time you start KK. It scans for new/updated/removed plugins so it can update the plugin list. It is only suppose to quickly scan for changes however some plugins cause a delay or KK just assumes a plugin has changed for some reason and does an interrogation every start so it can sometimes take minutes to load. Library scans for presets happen in the background after KK loads or by manual trigger from the preference > library tab.

You can force that annoying plugin scan to quit so you can get into KK faster by pressing ESC while that splash dialog is shown. Something I do daily because KK IMHO should not have to scan your plugins on every start and almost every DAW on the market manages this process much better than KK does.

Oh! I'm glad to know your information.
However, I could not find the background manual trigger Checkbox or button in the library tab.
I assume you mean "Scan user content for changes at start-up" on the Library User tab? Even if I uncheck that box, it still scans.

No, you misunderstand what I said.

The background scan of the content happens at startup for the user library with that box checked. It will cause KK to start scanning your presets direct after KK is launched. This is completely different from the plugin scan.

There is no way to prevent plugin scanning, it always happens on startup which is why you have to press ESC if you want to save sanity when using KK as a desktop application.

All that checkbox will do is prevent new presets appearing after startup which is seldom what anyone wants. Many years ago KK use to throw a "scanning" dislog box and KK was unusable when presets were being scanned. this is now a background process and a live database update that happens while you use KK but only on startup or when you manually trigger it from the library tab. It is not possible to just auto update in the background at any time when changes are made, only on first launch.

I think the problem is that Library Rescan starts every time I start K.K.Software, even if I don't install any new plug-ins or create any new sounds.
So there's no way to solve this?

Need to separate "library scan" from "plugin scan"

As already mentioned, KK does a scan of plugins on every start and should scan rather quickly unless something changes however, as highlighted KK seems to have some issues when scanning plugins that causes it to scan more deeply and thus, takes some time that can range from 10 seconds on startup to several minutes…. each time you start KK.

This has been something reported by users for years and the quick "fix" when wanting to skip this delay is to press ESC while the scan happens.

TLDR: Scan happens sometimes, to bypass it press ESC

And I'm sorry if my question has confused you.
I'm now painfully aware that English is a very difficult language.
I would like to know if there is a way to stop K.K. Software's Library Rescan.
This does not refer to scanning Plugins.
And if there is no way to do that, it would be easier for me to understand if you simply said "There is a no way to stop K.K. Software's Library Rescan."

I guess the option to disable the scan on startup would prevent the library scan.
