Why is there an extra scene LED added for scene that does not exist? Its unnessasry and confusing. If I have, for example, 6 scenes, I would like to see 6 scene LED lights - not 7, etc
. Please someone tell me the rational reason 🙄
The last white Scene usually indicates the next free available Scene (it is valid also for Groups).
If you watch at the screens, you will see it is indicated with a +, not the Scene name (or number).
In your case, having all the scenes colored white, it is even more confusing.
The reason? It is always been like that… not exactly clear why (I also find it almost useless, but evidently the people who created Maschine thought it was useful)
Another strange thing? Patterns and Pads work differently: since they can be created anywhere (giving the ability to create a Pattern also in the 16th pad even if the previous ones are empty), no “white for next free” is used. Why Scenes must be in a row while Patterns are more freely assignable? Another mystery
Can we get rid of the "extra" light-up pad please.
I doubt it. They are not addressing way more serious things from years, leave alone something that I think they will define “a cosmetic thing”
In Maschine White is used to indicate things, including: next available new Scene slot. Doubt this will ever change.
What is not helping intuition is the fact that you seem to have specified in Preferences-Colors that you want all your Scenes to be White, so it ends up being visually confusing. I'd change it to default or literally pick any color other than white.
I dont even know why they would allow white Scenes when is not allowed anywhere else.
they should make it different, maybe darker or another color, it always feels weird
By default it is, op chose to change the behavior and picked the worst color.
